Successful careers are rewarding, help you achieve financial stability, and make a difference in the world around you. Contributing to this definition is having the flexibility to integrate work and life successfully. Your successful career may differ from how others define success, and this symposium celebrates those unique careers women have forged in the natural gas industry.

Details coming soon! For questions or to be involved with the event, please contact memberservices@southerngas.org.

Attendees will receive 4.5 Professional Development Hours (PDH) upon completion.

  • Skill Development – leadership skills defining success in communication, negotiation and strategic thinking
  • Empowerment – providing awareness, tools, and inspiration to succeed in a variety of roles in the natural gas industry
  • Networking – creating opportunities for women to share experiences and build professional relationships across multiple sectors of the industry
  • Continued Support – Ongoing support and resources for women in the industry after the event

Who Should Attend

Leaders in the natural gas industry who are interested in learning, networking, and hearing from successful women in the industry!

KEYNOTE ADDRESS

Steve Donahue

Bestselling Author, Founder & CEO of Storyglu

The symposium will open with a keynote address by Steve Donahue, best-selling author of Shifting Sands, who will address “Navigating the Shifting Sands of Success.” This will be followed by a panel discussion titled “The Evolution of Success—It Is NOT a Destination.”

This presentation features themes of how our definition of success changes at different life stages and what it means to succeed in a disrupted world. The metaphor is based on Steve’s adventures on the shifting dunes of the Sahara and may include excerpts from his desert journeys. Attendees will learn how to thrive in a changing world using a flexible view of what success might look like, including:

  • Why you need to follow a compass, not a map, on the shifting sands of success.
  • What are career mirages and why do we chase them.
  • How to be more “nomadic” when it comes to career decisions in the gas industry.
