SGA’s membership base is made up of more than 500 industry organizations across the U.S. and Canada
SGA membership spans 200 operating member companies across distribution, transmission, gas supply marketing and municipal systems, along with 300+ industry partners serving as vendors, suppliers and consultants across the U.S. and Canada.
Membership is corporate. Every employee of a member company is a member, with access to peer networking, committee work, shared practices and the training that supports it all.
Training decisions usually come down to a seat count. You have a list of people who need a course, a budget that covers some of them, and someone who ends up waiting until next year.
SGA membership changes that calculation for operating companies. Every operating membership now includes the SGA Training Subscription, covering every employee at your company with no seat limits.
On-demand learning available any hour, for any employee who needs it.
Scheduled sessions taught by industry practitioners, included with unlimited seats.
Member discount on conferences and in-person workshops, which are priced separately from the subscription.
Wherever they are offered, so your people leave with documentation your compliance team can use.
Between the U.S. and Canada, SGA connects 200 operating companies and 300+ industry partners. Members meet the people solving the same operating, safety and regulatory questions, which shortens the distance between a problem showing up and someone knowing how to handle it.
Members serve alongside industry leaders as instructors and presenters, and are eligible for SGA’s recognition and awards programs. What works inside your operation gets shared, tested and adopted across the industry.
SGA’s committee and council structure covers more than 50 disciplines across the full breadth of gas operations. Whatever corner of the business your team works in, there is a group of peers already meeting on it.
Members come together to share resources, practices and solutions for the natural gas industry. Two paths lead in.
For distribution, transmission, gas supply marketing and municipal operators. Every category includes the SGA Training Subscription for every employee.
For vendors, consultants and service firms working alongside gas operators. Training is available separately through an add-on or through Advance Partnership.
| Membership | 2027 Rate |
|---|---|
| Distribution & Transmission | From $38,369, based on Gas Operating Income |
| Municipal | $0.20 per meter (minimum $2,205) |
| Gas Supply Marketing | $11,026 per year |
| Associate | $2,500 per year |
Operating membership rates include the SGA Training Subscription.
For every member holding the SGA Training Subscription, 90% of the subscription covers training, 10% is dues, and none is allocated to lobbying.
That split matters when you are justifying the line item internally. Nearly all of what your company pays goes directly back into developing your workforce.

Every operating membership category includes it: Distribution & Transmission, Municipal and Gas Supply Marketing.
