Meet Your Instructors

Vladimir dela Cruz

Vladimir R. dela Cruz is a senior manager at ConocoPhillips in their LNG and Commercial division. Over the past 25 years, Vladimir has held various leadership positions at the company in investor relations, project engineering, business development, and commercial supply and trading. For eight years, Vladimir headed up the company’s New York City office, where he served as the senior director of Investor Relations. His key relationships with institutional investors and sell-side analysts helped bolster the company’s stock performance during its transformation from an integrated company to one of the world’s largest independent E&P companies. In 2016, he assumed his current leadership role in global LNG to create and optimize value in the company’s global LNG portfolio. Vladimir graduated from the University of Oklahoma with a degree in Chemical Engineering and later earned his MBA at the university’s Price College of Business.

 

Saskia Gordon

Saskia Gordon is Director, Global LNG Origination- Americas. She is a member of the Global LNG team and in her current role she is tasked with growing the company’s LNG portfolio by developing new long-term supply and marketing opportunities with an emphasis in the Americas region. Saskia is also a key contributor to the development of the company’s long-term outlook for the global LNG market and lends support to all the company’s activities within the LNG value chain.

Saskia has worked at ConocoPhillips for over 20 years and has served in various assignments and leadership positions in the areas of investment appraisal, upstream planning, corporate strategy, exploration and land finance, treasury as well as fundamental market analysis.

Saskia earned a Bachelor of Science degree in mechanical engineering from Worcester Polytechnic Institute and a Master of Business Administration from Carnegie Mellon University.

 

Matthew Henderson

Matthew Henderson is the Senior Market Analyst for ConocoPhillips’s Gas & Power trading organization focusing on short-term market fundamentals of natural gas supply, demand, and storage. Matthew has been with ConocoPhillips for 18 years with the last 13 years working various roles within its Commercial organization responsible for the marketing of crude, natural gas, and NGLs. Starting out as an application developer for the trade floor’s quant group, he has since moved through roles focusing on the economic evaluation of transport/storage deals, value at risk, and market fundamentals for both liquids and natural gas. He holds a MS in Statistics from Texas A&M University and a BS in Computer Engineering from the University of Arkansas.
