Event Summary
The United States is poised to rapidly grow the hydrogen economy with the Department of Energy’s Regional Clean Hydrogen Hubs Program and up to $7 billion awarded to seven selected projects across the country. However, increased deployment of hydrogen as a clean energy vector necessitates increased hydrogen demand and end-use applications, including the use of hydrogen-natural gas (H2NG) blends delivered by today’s gas pipelines. This session will provide an overview of existing and potential H2NG blending end uses and important considerations for future hydrogen-enriched gas consumption.
Attendees will receive 1 Professional Development Hour (PDH) upon approval.
You will learn:
- Where are H2NG blends being delivered and consumed today.
- Existing research and testing on H2NG end use appliances and equipment.
- Important considerations when moving from natural gas to H2NG blends in end use applications.
- Current industry knowledge gaps and ongoing efforts to close the gaps.
