The Leadership Section Managing Committee provides forums for member companies to learn, develop and share their best practices to enhance corporate functions.
OUR MISSION
The mission of the Leadership Section Managing Committee is to provide opportunities to share in experiences, lessons learned, challenges, and successes of SGA member companies. This committee promotes and enables the development of leaders in the natural gas industry. The committee evaluates issues and challenges and makes recommendations to the Executive Council on SGA’s policies, plans, and tactics for addressing identified challenges and opportunities.
The committee provides educational and networking opportunities to industry peers through our roundtable at the SGA Management Conference, oversees the activities of 3-sub committees focused on specific areas of the leadership development and provides guidance to SGA staff on appropriate areas of focus for the association.
The committee meets in person at planning meetings, conferences, and periodically by conference call.
The mission of the Inclusion & Diversity Committee is to provide opportunities to share in experiences, lessons learned, challenges, and successes of SGA member companies. This committee focus will be on the individual employee leadership & development related to demographic experience, curiosity & empathy, and authenticity & belonging.

What We Do? The Committee broadens the effectiveness of inclusion & diversity efforts in their companies and across the natural gas industry.
Where We Meet? The Inclusion & Diversity committee meets on monthly conference calls, onsite planning meeting and holds a roundtable as part of Natural Gas Connect.
The mission of the Multi-Generational Leadership Committee is to provide opportunities to share in experiences, lessons learned, challenges, and successes of SGA member companies. This committee will address the five generations and the opportunities and challenges facing our member organizations by developing strategies to turn those challenges into success.
Who We Are? Natural Gas Industry who are strategic thinkers, leaders, and decision makers within member companies.
What We Do? Provide networking and educational opportunities to industry peers through awards programs, best practice sharing and educational development for SGA events.
Where We Meet? The group meets virtually through webinars, in person at planning meetings and conferences, and for monthly committee calls.
The mission of the Women & Leadership Committee is to provide opportunities to share in experiences, lessons learned, challenges, and successes of SGA member companies. This committee is designed to educate, inspire and energize women in the natural gas industry, aiming to enhance their leadership skills and knowledge.
Who We Are? Diverse group of individuals from across the natural gas industry who are passionate about growing, training and improving today’s and tomorrow’s leaders.
What We Do? Provide an opportunity for women to grow their professional network of mentors and business partners, learn from each other through sharing ideas, observing, interacting with established leaders, coaching and encouraging one another.
