Keys to Success in Applying Satellite-based Geospatial Analytics to LDC Methane Emissions Measurement

Virtual, Instructor-Led

Event Summary

This course introduces the core principles of geospatial analytics in a clear, accessible way for those new to the field—then takes a deeper dive into real-world lessons learned from local distribution companies (LDCs) that have successfully implemented this approach across multiple states and internationally. Far from a simple “plug-and-play” solution, this methodology demands a strategic shift—challenging conventional workflows and driving meaningful change in operational practices.

Attendees will receive 1.5 Professional Development Hours (PDH) upon completion.

Key Takeaways from This Course

  • Build a Strong Foundation: Develop a solid understanding of geospatial analytics and how it’s used to detect and measure low-level methane emissions in gas distribution networks.
  • Implement with Confidence: Discover the essential success factors for deploying satellite-based geospatial tools effectively and consistently.
  • Avoid Common Pitfalls: Learn from real-world missteps to ensure a smoother, smarter implementation of this innovative technology.

Who Should Attend

This course will be geared for LDAR technicians, LDAR supervisors, and asset managers unfamiliar with the application of satellite-based geospatial analytics to methane emissions measurement.
