Event Summary
A two-hour course on the basics of mechanical dry gas seal technologies and ancillary systems ways. Heavy emphasis will be placed on failsafe technologies for maximum seal reliability.
Attendees will receive 2 Professional Development Hours (PDH) upon completion.
Course Objectives
Equip operators, mechanics, reliability engineers, maintenance and operations supervisors with the knowledge of how dry gas seals work and what they need in the way of an environment across their regime of operation to give the longest life in service and fewest repairs. A comparison of total cost of ownership of different sealing technologies and ancillaries will be discussed.

Emery Johnson is a Senior Sales Director for Turbomachinery BAA for EagleBurgmann NA. Building on more than 25 years of experience in the dry gas seal industry, Emery Johnson provides support for the technical sales, service and troubleshooting of EagleBurgmann’s expanding dry gas seal, supply systems and Rotech Booster business. Johnson is a graduate of Texas A&M University. He is currently serving on the API-692 committee for Dry Gas Seals and Systems.
