Marguerite Porsch
Manager, Safety Culture, CenterPoint Energy
Marguerite Porsch serves as the Manager, Safety Culture at CenterPoint Energy, an electric and natural gas utility. She is responsible for their Serious Injury and Fatality prevention program, READY. She is focused on driving a safety culture that is focused on high-energy hazards, human and organizational performance, and learning teams. She has over 15 years of experience in safety, with the last 7 years at CenterPoint Energy. Prior to CenterPoint Energy, she worked in the oil and gas industry. She was a team member on Edison Electric Institute’s (EEI) research teams, which included Serious Injury and Fatality (SIF) Precursor Customization Project and the development of the Safety Classification and Learning (SCL) Model. She also participated in research projects with the Construction Safety Research Alliance (CSRA), which included Predictive Analytics of SIF events and Unique Precursors of SIF. In 2022, she was awarded the CSRA Safety Leadership Award.
Marguerite earned a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration with a major in Marketing from the University of Louisiana at Lafayette. She holds a certification as a Certified Safety Professional (CSP).
