Event Summary
A two-hour course on the basics of mechanical seal technologies and ways to enhance their life in service. Emphasis will be placed on pipeline pump operation for maximum seal life, with some discussion of compressors.
Attendees will receive 2 Professional Development Hours (PDH) upon completion.
Course Objectives
Equip operators, mechanics, reliability engineers, maintenance and operations supervisors with the knowledge of how seals work and what they need in the way of an environment to give the longest life in service and fewest repairs. The main discussion will be wet seals, but dry gas seals will be discussed as well, and technologies that may enhance reliability.
