NIST Releases Cybersecurity Framework Version 1.0

On February 12th, the National Institute of Standards and Technology (NIST) issued their first version of the Cybersecurity Framework document.

This document has been in draft for about a year with multiple workshops held with multiple industries to garner feedback of what that framework document should look like.

Following the framework is currently a voluntary effort – but all industries are being encouraged to adopt principles in the document to strengthen their security from cyber attacks.
