July 15-17, 2019

San Antonio, TX

J.W. Marriott Hill Country Resort & Spa

This new conference offers more than 30 SGA roundtables, opening up limitless cross-learning opportunities. It will also help bridge any gaps in your business outlook and connect you with other engaged peers in the industry beyond operations and engineering.

The new conference needed a new name, so a group of SGA committee members from across the business came up with a name that captures the purpose of this huge event.

Your peers have named it Natural Gas Connect or NGC for short. It’s the place for connecting people, ideas and information.

NGC will have it all! Think expanded content, improved connection centers, exciting onsite events and more opportunities for idea sharing and innovation. Coming together as one force, Natural Gas Connect will also host an even larger, more diverse exhibit hall exposing you to new industry partners not to mention 1,300+ new industry friends.

Keynote: Energy's False Moral Panic

Mark Mathis, President of Clear Energy Alliance

MarkMathis

Mark Mathis is on a mission to cure "energy blindness" by providing practical energy truths and is president of Clear Energy Alliance (CEA). CEA strives to raise the EIQ (Energy Intelligence Quotient) of our society. Much of what the media and activist groups tell us about energy is misleading or entirely false, which can lead to dangerous and expensive outcomes. CEA challenges false claims and premises in a fun, interesting and shareable format. The goal is to have us arrive at our conclusions using logic, reliable data, human experience, history and rational analysis.

Mark has written, produced and directed two documentary films on energy. In Fractured Mark explained how language is used to dangerously deceive us about the most essential component to the function of the modern world—energy. In spOILed he examined the public’s ignorance of the central role oil plays in our lives. spOILed was shown theatrically in dozens of cities across the United States. Mark conducted Q&A sessions with audiences at the conclusion of more than 180 shows. Before becoming a documentary filmmaker Mark was a TV news anchor/reporter, media consultant/trainer and talk radio host. Mark founded the energy education non-profit Citizens Alliance for Responsible Energy and testified before Congress on the dangers of anti-energy extremist groups that same year. Over the past 20 years Mark has been a keynote speaker for many dozens of organizations from the National Football League to the Independent Petroleum Association of America to the Saudi Research and Marketing’s International Speakers Program.

Special Event at Knibbe Ranch

Join us at Knibbe Ranch on Monday, July 15 from 6:00-9:00 p.m. What can you expect? Great food, armadillo racing, line dancing competition, music and company!

Knibbe Ranch smaller

The Knibbe Ranch was founded back in 1852, more than 150 years ago. The Knibbe Ranch (we pronounce it ka-NIB-bee) is one of the few remaining Century Heritage Ranches in the State of Texas, which means the Knibbe Family has been in a continuous agricultural endeavor (cattle) for over a century. Located only 28 miles north of downtown San Antonio in the beautiful Texas Hill Country, the historic Knibbe Ranch is rich in German heritage and culture reminiscent of the early European immigrants. Knibbe Ranch is a working beef cattle ranch, with a thriving cow-calf operation. Their breeding program involves F-1 Tiger Stripe cattle.

Transportation will be provided. More details coming soon!

Suggested Attire: Dresses, pearl snaps, jeans and boots!
