Veritas – A Methane Emissions Measurement and Verification Initiative

Virtual, Instructor-Led

Event Summary

In this session, Srijana Rai, the technical director of Veritas, will provide an overview of GTI Energy’s Veritas initiative. It will include the Why, What and How behind Veritas. She will do an in-depth walkthrough of the 10-step measurement and reconciliation process and cover the methane emissions intensity, value chain summation, and assurance protocols. She will also explain the newly developed OGMP 2.0 aligned source-level pathway.

Attendees will receive 1.5 Professional Development Hours (PDH) upon approval.

Learning Objectives

  • A clear understanding of the various pathways to generate a site or source-level measurement informed inventory for all segments of the natural gas supply chain.
  • The need for a standardized way of measuring and reconciling methane emissions.
  • All stakeholders involved in the development of and implementation of Veritas and GTI Energy’s efforts to align the protocols with the evolving regulatory landscape.
