Event Summary
PHMSA’s Gas Mega Rule officially came into effect on July 1, 2020 and has changed pipeline operations related to MAOP, material traceability and verification, MCAs and records. It actively pursues the addition of Traceable, Verifiable and Complete (TVC) records and data management related to validating MAOP with approved documentation and testing.
This presentation will walk you through the current TVC data requirements for transmission and gathering pipe and then how to get your data ready for the proposed gas distribution rule. After we show the data points needed for compliance, we will talk about how PODS can help organize that data for ease in reporting (functional, business and regulatory requirements). For instance, using the PODS Regulatory Module with your current data model (UPDM, APDM, PODS, etc.) or utilizing the new PODS TVC module specifically for the TVC requirements for asset knowledge management. This would allow many operators that have transmission and distribution pipe the opportunity to keep all their data in one data model with modules specifically built for regulatory compliance.
Attendees will receive 1.5 Professional Development Hours (PDH) upon completion.
