As the Senior Vice President of Corporate Strategy and Innovation at GTI, Dr. Gant drives efforts to increase GTI’s impact in deploying technology-based energy and environmental solutions that enable safe, efficient, clean, and affordable energy supplies in the U.S. and around the globe.
In private and public sector roles, Dr. Gant has focused on the technology, market, and policy solutions needed to transition energy systems. She has a strong track record in addressing complex business and policy challenges through building effective teams, communicating science and technology impacts, and organizing diverse interests around a common goal. Paula is a respected voice in global natural gas and broader energy discussions.
In leadership roles at the U.S. Department of Energy, Paula administered natural gas export regulation and R&D programs executed by the National Energy Technology Lab, along with orchestrating the implementation of international clean energy deployment initiatives. Prior to that, she led policy, regulatory affairs, and strategy at the American Gas Association, and directed policy and government affairs for Duke Energy Corporation. She has served on the Economics faculties of the University of Louisville and Louisiana State University.
She is a graduate of McNeese State University in Louisiana and Auburn University in Alabama.

Participate on both desktop and mobile devices. Sessions are accessible on any of your devices. You can view sessions on your desktop and use the mobile app simultaneously to view event notifications, locate other participants, and network with your peers.
Create your schedule. If you have already pre-booked your sessions under your account, you will be able to view them in the schedule. If you wish to add or remove sessions, you can make adjustments in the app. Tap Schedule and select sessions. To see your schedule, tap Selected.
Direct message other attendees and see who’s attending. You can message attendees directly from the app. Tap Directory, select the person you want to message and tap Send Message. You may only message attendees that have created their accounts and enabled others to contact them in this way. Tap Directory, select the contact you want to favorite and tap the star icon to keep in touch. Your favorited selections will carry over to future events.
How do I join a virtual session? Management Conference sessions will be in GoToMeeting, GoToWebinar, or Teams. You will click on the session you wish to join to view the session details (note, you may only participate in live sessions during their designated time. Recorded sessions may be viewed at any time). Launch the virtual session by clicking Join and follow the prompted instructions. Please arrive a few minutes early to ensure enough time to join the meeting.
How do I select my sessions and see who is speaking? Under the Schedule menu item, you will be able to select the sessions you would like to attend to build your custom agenda for the virtual conference. Interested in a particular track of courses? Select the Tracks menu item to view sessions by the related track. Under the session details there is speaker information, and all speaker information is aggregated under the Speakers menu item.
Will sessions be recorded and accessible post-conference? Yes. Sessions will be recorded and available for attendees to watch again on-demand from SGA’s app until August 1, 2021. Recordings will be available on the app within 48 business hours of the session.

Does SGA have social media and an official event hashtag? Yes! Follow SGA on all your social media and use the official event hashtag #sga2021managementconference when posting on social media to join the online buzz and tell others what you’re learning.
What should I expect during the sessions? Most of the sessions will be interactive, so come ready to engage! During sessions, attendees will be able to type questions in the session’s question box to be read aloud by the moderator or unmute to speak directly with the speaker/panel. If the speaker has a handout(s) in GoToMeeting or GoToWebinar it will be available in the materials section of your webinar control panel. Some speakers will utilize polls to gather your feedback and during the session, we will walk you through how to respond when they appear on your screen.

Is it too late to register more team members from my organization? You can still register your team even after the event has started and once it has concluded to enable more of them to access the educational sessions.
