This course provides a comprehensive overview of the regulatory framework governing Liquefied Natural Gas (LNG) facilities in the United States, focusing on federal and state oversight. Participants will gain an in-depth understanding of the roles and responsibilities of key regulatory agencies, including the Pipeline and Hazardous Materials Safety Administration (DOT PHMSA), the Federal Energy Regulatory Commission (FERC), the United States Coast Guard (USCG) and state agencies.

Juan Carlos is a Mechanical engineer with a strong background in engineering management, project life-cycle development and regulatory permitting. 15+ years of experience in development of LNG facilities including liquefaction, regasification, bunkering, and peak shavers. Experienced with mechanical equipment and piping specifications, selection, design, and testing. Hands-on experience with facility commissioning planning, execution, and oversight. Rotating equipment subject matter expert with significant experience in vibration analysis and troubleshooting.
Angie Minton
Senior Environmental Consultant, CH-IV
Angie Minton, AICP, is a Senior Environmental Consultant with almost 30 years of professional experience leading multi-disciplinary teams in the delivery of complex infrastructure projects. Since 2014, her focus has been energy projects, especially liquefied natural gas (LNG) projects. Her broad technical expertise includes local, state, and federal regulations; permitting for energy projects (construction and operations); integrated project management; National Environmental Policy Act (NEPA); environmental resource management; agency consultation; and public processes.
