Introduction to Renewable Natural Gas (RNG)

Event Overview

This introductory course provides a comprehensive overview of Renewable Natural Gas (RNG) and its role in shaping a low-carbon energy future. Participants will explore the fundamentals of RNG including how it is produced, its environmental benefits, and its integration into existing infrastructure, alongside current market trends and the evolving policy landscape. Through real-world examples and interactive discussion, attendees will gain insights into RNG’s versatility, from transportation fuels and electricity generation to industrial applications and emerging global markets.
Attendees will receive 1.5 Professional Development Hours (PDH) upon completion.

By the end of this course, participants will be able to:
  1. Define RNG and its Production Process
  2. Recognize the diversification of RNG applications
  3. Identify key drivers of investment and expansion in the RNG sector
  4. Assess how tax credits, incentives, and carbon accounting frameworks influence project economics
  5. Explain how RNG contributes to decarbonization goals while utilizing existing infrastructure.
