Basics of Gas Processing

Virtual, Instructor-Led

Event Summary

From the wellhead to the marketplace, natural gas must undergo a series of critical steps before it becomes a clean, reliable energy source and a stream of valuable liquid products. This course walks participants through the full journey of natural gas processing, highlighting both the science and the systems that make it possible.

Attendees will gain a clear understanding of the key components, technologies, and safety practices that transform raw natural gas into market-ready products. Through real-world examples and practical insights, this session connects technical knowledge with operational purpose, making it accessible for both new professionals and those looking to sharpen their expertise.

Attendees will receive 1 Professional Development Hour (PDH) upon completion.

Key Topics Covered

  • Fundamentals of hydrocarbons and natural gas components
  • How measurement and sampling ensure accuracy and reliability
  • Treating and dehydration processes for product quality
  • The role of compression, refrigeration, and cryogenics in processing
  • Built-in safety systems that keep operations secure

By the end of the course, participants will understand how each stage of natural gas processing fits together to deliver safe, high-quality, and marketable products.
