Event Summary
Artificial intelligence is increasingly being used to address sustainability challenges around the globe, helping to mitigate environmental impacts, improve resource efficiency, support climate goals and overall optimize decision-making, irrespective of the type of company and sector. With increasing compliance demands on sustainability officers, and more data available from companies reporting against their ESG goals, executive leadership will increasingly need to explore the various technology solutions available to them to better collect and synthesize information and explore predictive modeling across multiple variables to optimize forecasting and decision-making. However, AI has its challenges including the significant uptick in energy consumption required, the concerns around bias and transparency in the underlying data being used to run models, and data privacy and security.
The course will be structured with a one-hour presentation including Q&A about the key use cases for AI in sustainability, followed by a 45-min fireside chat with the founder of an AI intelligence platform focused on ESG and impact, and Q&A to follow.
Attendees will receive 2 Professional Development Hours (PDH) upon completion.
