Bob Smith

Robert (Bob) Smith, PHMSA

In his role as Research and Development Manager, Mr. Smith leads several strategic initiatives for PHMSA. From 1997 to 2003, he coordinated and managed the offshore pipeline and human factors research program at the U.S. Minerals Management Service. Mr. Smith holds a B.S. in petroleum and natural gas engineering from Pennsylvania State University.

 

 

Gary Hines

Gary Hines, PRCI

As Vice President, Operations, Gary is responsible for further enhancing research execution, delivery and knowledge transfer.Gary joined PRCI with over 23 years of experience in both the energy association and natural gas pipeline industries. He spent the last 7 years at Southern Gas Association (SGA) as the Vice President of Learning and Professional Development. Prior to SGA, Gary spent 9 years with Southern Star Central Gas Pipeline and 8 years with Williams.Gary received a BS in Civil Engineering from Missouri University of Science and Technology and an MBA from Colorado State University.

Michael Istre, INGAA Foundation

Mr. Istre joined the INGAA Foundation in 2017 after more than 20 years of consulting engineering in the pipeline industry. His project portfolio includes world class onshore and offshore pipelines for natural gas, oil, refined products, and carbon dioxide in the US, Canada, Mexico and Venezuela. Mr. Istre serves as the INGAA Foundation Project Manager and is responsible for the planning, execution, management and communication of the Foundation’s research program. Mr. Istre also participates in a variety of industry work groups related to gas transmission and pipeline construction.

Anthony Lindsay, GTI

Mr. Lindsay is Managing Director of the Energy Delivery Group at the Gas Technology Institute (GTI) where he oversees the organization’s research and development activities for technology concepts, products and services focused on ensuring a safe and reliable energy delivery infrastructure. His group advances transmission and distribution technologies, processes, and procedures concentrated on environmental matters, enabling renewables, and gas quality; infrastructure rehabilitation and improvements; data and integrity management; risk evaluation modeling; and high-tech sensors and automation for the natural gas industry.
Mr. Lindsay has over thirty-four (34) years of experience in the energy industry during which he spent time in both the natural gas regulated utility sector as well as technical consulting and new business enterprises. His experiences include gas distribution system engineering, planning, transmission pipeline design, aquifer underground storage station design and build, corrosion control, systems operations and maintenance, sales, marketing, and the start-up of an unregulated business venture, before moving on to research & development aspects of the energy industry.
Mr. Lindsay received a B.S. in Thermo-Mechanical Engineering from the University of Illinois and is a registered professional engineer in the state of Illinois.

 

Scott Schubring

Scott Schubring, Williams, GMRC PSC Chair

Scott Schubring has over 17 years of compression equipment design, installation and operating experience in North America.  He has a BS degree in Mechanical Engineering from Texas A&M University and leads a team of reciprocating equipment subject matter experts at Williams Companies.
