Transmission Pipeline Design Workshop

Workshop Goals

  • An overview of gas transmission pipeline systems and related facilities
  • An understanding of gas pipeline regulatory code requirements
  • Recognition of the importance of good project design requirements
  • The fundamental knowledge you need to design and specify gas pipelines and components

 

Workshop Scope

This 3.5-day workshop takes you through the pipeline design process—from pipe sizing measurements to post-construction recordkeeping—working with a team to design a pipeline under real-life conditions and circumstances.  Attendees will gain an overall understanding of all elements of gas pipeline design—from initial pipe sizing through route selection and the detailed design of pipeline components.

  • Engineers responsible for pipeline design or providing pipeline O&M support
  • Managers responsible for pipeline operations and maintenance
  • Marketing and support staff who can benefit from an overall understanding of design requirements for gas pipelines
  • Employees of companies who provide technical services and products to the gas pipeline industry

 

Instructors

Bill White P.E. is a Chief Engineer for Northstar Consulting, LLC. Bill has over twenty-nine years experience in the design, operations, and maintenance of natural gas facilities. This includes twenty-five years at Columbia Gas Transmission in various executive and manager level positions. Bill has expertise in design and construction, as well as the operations and maintenance of natural gas pipeline facilities. Bill will be assisted by industry experts and consultants with first hand experience in pipeline design projects.

Day 1:    8 a.m. to 5 p.m.
Day 2:    8 a.m. to 5 p.m.

Day 3 :    8 a.m. to 5 p.m.

Day 4 :    8 a.m. to 11:30 a.m.

 

Registration

The registration fee for this workshop is $995 ($1,195 for non-members; includes continental breakfast, breaks, lunch and all meeting materials).

If you have to cancel, in order to receive full refund, do so by October 1, 2008. Cancellations received after October 1 will not receive refunds unless we are able to fill your slot. Substitutions are allowed.
