Workshop Scope
This workshop provides operations and maintenance personnel of pipeline companies with the knowledge to properly determine if an anomaly should be replaced or repaired. This workshop also introduces pipeline operations and maintenance personnel to alternative pipeline repair techniques: sleeves, composites, and direct deposit weld repairs. The economics, technology, application techniques, and materials, currently available will be discussed. The workshop will examine defect identification plus assessment for replacement or repair decisions and will review current smart practices in the field. Also included are demonstrations of repair methods.
Continental breakfast and lunch is provided each day.
A binder is provided for each student with handouts of all presentation materials.
Who Should Attend
Operations and maintenance personnel responsible for the decision of repair versus replacement and the materials and technology to be utilized. Both transmission and distribution operators will benefit from this training.
