Pipeline Repair Methods Workshop

This workshop has been offered peridocally since 1995.  The agenda is continually updated to reflect current technology, techniques, and practices.

Where This Workshop is Conducted

This workshop is conducted in Columbus Ohio.  Most lectures are presented at the Hyatt Regency hotel in downtown Columbus. Some classes and demonstrations will be presented at CC Technologies in Dublin, OH. Transportation will be provided.

Workshop Scope

This workshop provides operations and maintenance personnel of pipeline companies with the knowledge to properly determine if an anomaly should be replaced or repaired. This workshop also introduces pipeline operations and maintenance personnel to alternative pipeline repair techniques: sleeves, composites, and direct deposit weld repairs.

The economics, technology, application techniques, and materials, currently available will be discussed.

The workshop will examine defect identification plus assessment for replacement or repair decisions and will review current smart practices in the field.

Also included are demonstrations of repair methods.

 

Who Should Attend

Operations and maintenance personnel responsible for the decision of repair versus replacement and the materials and technology to be utilized.  Both transmission and distribution operators will benefit from this training.
