2. State of Texas Public Awareness Collaborative Program

Presenters: Dan Alderson, Atmos Energy and Jerry Gann, Center Point Energy

This is an innovative approach to Public Awareness compliance. Over forty operators in the State of Texas are collaborating to produce and deliver a state wide pipeline awareness and safety ad campaign (newspaper, radio and television), with a $1.35 M budget in 2007.

Program objectives:

- Meet minimum non-customer/affected public requirements of RP 1162
- Foc on awarenss rather than compliance
- At the lowest possible cost with the broadest reach
- Includes highest risk audience
