Workshop Scope

The basis of the workshop is U.S. PHMSA IMP regulations and ASME B31.8S, Managing the Integrity of Gas Pipelines.

The workshop provides technical and regulatory staff in pipeline companies with the knowledge to contribute optimum value toward improved pipeline integrity.

Mini-Trade-Show

In association with this workshop, SGA  is organizing a special mini-trade-show with selected vendors who provide products and services related to Integrity Management.

 

 

Lunch will be provided.

The show is free of charge to workshop attendees and to others from pipeline operating companies. Attendance is limited to 5 persons per company and each person must be pre-registered.

Who Should Attend

Operations and maintenance engineers, senior technicians and regulatory compliance personnel responsible for aspects of their company's Transmission Integrity Management Program will find this workshop of interest. Recent hires and staff recently given such responsibilities are the intended target audience.

 

Prior Knowledge Recommendation

In order to get the most from this workshop, it is recommended that students have read (but not necessarily studied or fully understood) the following:

The TIMP FAQs

Students should also have a fundamental understanding of natural gas pipeline facilities, their design, construction, operation and maintenance.
